Good friends...and my first craft fair

Simple Joy 259/365:  Good friends.

David & Sonya, some friends who God specifically dropped into my life a few years ago - there's just no other way to explain it - were moving back from Alberta to Ontario and needed a place to stay along the way so I got to have them over for a night!  What a treat to see them again; to be blessed again by Sonya's tight hugs and to be able to be a blessing by simply making them toast :)  Love you guys!!!  (oh, and I stole your picture from your FB page Sonya)

Simple Joy 260/365: My first craft fair.
I was at Sunshine Nursery & Greenhouse today for their Fall Fest.
It was the first time I've tried to sell my cards and journals this way. The jury's still out on whether it's my thing or not. I'd much rather have a stand set up in a store, like I have here: Heier Designs
Thanks so much Maria for helping me out! And, thanks to my daughter Mica for sitting there with me for the first half of the day!  I LOVE hanging out with you honey!!

Not enough Kleenex

This song has been running through my head recently..
....and this past week in particular as I reach a breaking point of having to do everything alone.
I cry through the song everytime it plays on my iPod
but this morning as I sit,
having coffee and journaling,
and really letting my emotions sit for awhile,
I decided to watch the video instead.

I'm not sure I have enough Kleenex in my house.

My goal is to get past the point of singing the first choruses over and over in my head and get to the point where the last chorus is what echos in my soul:

God:
I will love you for you
not for what you have done
or what you will become
I will love you for you
I will give you the love
the love that you never knew

Update & a Clear Scraps Video from me

I have pictures lined up for my next Simple Joy installment....I have some amazing new finds from my MCC store and some projects I've done that I'd love to show you.

But....this last week has been "a series of unfortunate events" which in several instances involved walk-in clinics, chiropractors, doctors' offices, pharmacies and emergency room visits.  Before you panic....no one's dead.  And no one has anything that they won't recover from.  I think we're all going to be fine.....a few little bumps, a broken hand bone, a little infection, some poison ivy, a jammed thumb....whatever....all in a day's work around here.

So....since I have no pictures handy, how about this:
A video I made this week for Clear Scraps showing a card that I made using my sewing machine to sew on Clear Scraps acrylic.

And, a peek at one of the Joys of this past week or so:

....and no, we did not buy a dog.  I'll tell you about it later - in my Simple Joys update later this weekend, I hope.
