Blog Hop coming - Thursday April 8th

Spring Break!!!!

What could be better than 9 days in a row off school? I love Spring Break. It's a great perk of working at a school.

Plans?
We're hanging out a lot in Kleefeld this week - the boys (our kids' only cousins) are here from Edmonton, and we wanna spend as much time as possible with them. Also, we have some very important things to do at home...such as, sleep in, play video games, watch a movie we have rented, scrapbook, walk to MCC and hang out there for awhile without having to run home b/c it's time to make supper or something....whew....it's going to be busy. I may also need to fit naps in there.

No pictures to share today.
But I'm hoping there will be at the end of the week!

Have a great Spring Break!

Have you seen the MSB blog?

my Stamp BOX has a blog....and the DT has been adding posts almost every single day! It's so much inspiration I don't personally have time to take advantage of it all (even with 2 no-school days this week!!)

Here's my latest post on some excellent Christmas tree stamps from my Stamp BOX
I know it's not Christmas right now....but I'm planning ahead :)

A few new photos

I'm not doing a photo-a-day anymore. I finished up January...got 1/2-way through February and lost track. Sorry. But this week Trev brought me gorgeous red & orange roses and I couldn't resist taking pictures. And also, I bought a DragonFruit at the grocery store this week. It's Egan's favourite fruit (I know...most grade 2 kids don't even know what it is). The pink of the outside was so brilliant against the white fruit inside....and I'm sure my photography doesn't do it justice at all but I still love it!

That's all. My photos today. The end.

SEI - my new friend :)

A very large box of SEI arrived on my doorstep the other day....the new lines and some great Christmas stuff too! I think I'm in love.

Here's what I've been playing with:Happy Birthday card: SEI Alpine Frost and my Stamp BOX Tiny Greetings

Another Happy Birthday card: SEI Alpine Frost, Rubons by American Crafts

U R Extraordinary: Everything except Copic marker, SEI Bridgeport

You're sweet: SEI Mimosa, stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms

A date for me :)

Trev & I went to see The Eagles last night at the MTS Centre. So, if you know me, you know I'm not a really big concert person....I love the music, but would just as soon crank a CD in the comfort of my own home than be with 15,000 other sweaty people and have to drive home afterwards. BUT...it was a date with Trev that I couldn't pass up, it included supper at my favourite restaurant - Chamberlain's (Best seafood pasta in Wpg. I'm sure). And despite the fact that I'm horrible at remembering lyrics, artist names, etc....I know great music when I hear it and the concert was AMAZING. They were so tight. You know how some bands sound great on a CD when they're mixed to death and then live they sound like a garage band you wanna call the city about? Not these guys. Tight. And on. Dead on every single time. Lead vocals, harmonies to die for and solos/brass band/jam-type sections that, for my sake, could have gone on for several more hours :)

Still not a concert-freak...but I'm really glad I went.
And the seafood was perfect, as usual.
Oh, and I forgot to mention.....before the date, he came home with roses for me (red & orange hybrid...my very favourite!)

A little perspective

Trev showed me this video the other day...and, as funny as it is, it really struck a chord with me. We complain about everything...things that really, we should be immeasurably grateful for. It's changing how I think this week and I thought I'd share it with you.

Photo-a-day January :) and some BLOG CANDY!

my Stamp BOX has a Brand New Blog!!! Come on over and check them out - the DT's already hard at work filling it up with great, inspiring projects. This link will take you to the first post where you can find out how to win some new stamp sets from my Stamp BOX.

I've been wanting to do a Photo-a-day album for a long, long time....and I think 2009 is a bit too big to attempt but I am done January :) Here's part of the results. I used a Clear Scraps acrylic album (6x6 tabbed) and I used the Color Me Not alphabet stamps for the title and the Birthday Numbers stamp set from my Stamp BOX to do the numbers of the individual days...stamped onto white, coloured with Copics and then punched out with a Circle punch. I love the simplicity of the album and how the focus is all on the photos. I journaled a line or 2 with a Zig Painty Pen and although it didn't need much patterned paper...I couldn't help adding some Cosmo Cricket to the covers :)
