Clear Scraps Sneak Peeks - CHA winter '09

Clear Scraps has done it again - more great shapes and albums made of the highest quality acrylic around. I'll show you some of the new stuff...and a few of my own projects...and then I have a question for you at the end of this post :)

Continuing on with their XL line that debuted in Summer '08, this year we have Cupcakes (pack of 2, 11" wide at the widest point)

And of course, more shaped albums - this one is a cityscape...3 pages of varying heights of buildings, in Acrylic and also in laser-cut chipboard.

New this year: A Clear N Chip line of shapes cut into a 12x12 sheet...both acrylic and chipboard in a package I think. Make a mini...use the flowers to embellish...or mix & match them!

And also new this year - these adorable little minis. They measure about 3-4" across and can be used on cards, layouts, as an album, keychain, bragbook...anything you want!

OK...a few of my own creations - currently boxed up and by tomorrow, on their way to CHA. Wish I was on my way, but someone's going to have to let me live it vicariously through them this time around :(

I took the XL cupcake shapes and made them into an album to document birthdays. I sliced off the end of one of the bubbly icing thingies...and bound this with my Bind-it-all. S'what I love about Clear Scraps - no cracking, cut with my paper trimmer....sweetness.

I took one of the mini heart-shaped albums apart and used the pieces on a set of Valentine's Cards....simple red rub-ons from Hambly and some red paint to make them pop.

Here I'm trying my hand at Masquepen, Copics, Staz-on and Stamps...all on the same tag.

And the little tabbed album mini I made into a calendar - very simple, sepia tones but with pink jewels....perfect for your purse (I reinforced the adhesive jewels with a little bit of Diamond Glaze so it could get handled more).

OK...my question.
What's your favourite thing to do with acrylic? Do you paint? rub-on? stamp? flock? Bind? Sizzix? Cuttlebug? I could go on and on...but I'd love to hear from you - your favourite techniques to do on acrylic. And as incentive....if you tell me your fav. thing to do, I'll put your name in a draw for some prizes from Clear Scraps. I'll go one better. If you LINK me to a picture of your favourite technique in action....I'll add your name TWICE to the draw. I have 3 prizes to draw for....hmmmm....I may even let you pick your prize....we'll see :)

I'll draw 3 names on Tuesday, January 20th.

Thanks for playing!!

cannot resist a giveaway...although I'm a bit of a rookie when it comes to acryllic. I LOVE the look of Cuddlebugging it. But what I've done most is rub-ons and paper to make covers of small albums. My favourite was a Mother's Day gift for my mother-in-law...she even brot with her to work to show off.

Like the cupcake book, cards, and calendar you made with Clear Scraps. Very nice!
Tough call as it is versatile. I guess my favorite is painting it. I like that is forgiving and can apply in layers to make different effects/colors.
Here is a: card I made. Thanks!

I'd love to tell you products I've created except that I don't have any acrylic. I have so been wanting an album like a cupcake or scalloped album. I tried to buy one once but they were sold out where I was shopping. LOL Maybe I'll win won so I can experiment.

I like to put metallic rub-ons on the back of an acrylic and then paint the entire back to make my own glass-like tokens.

Thanks for showing all the new stuff so nicely! I've only started working with acrylic and I think its my new favorite medium. I like rubons the best. I tried stamping with stazon and I guess my hand isn't steady enough cuz I smeared it. I tried clear stickers but I didn't like how they looked on the reverse side and the edge of the sticker showed up. So my first favorite is rubons. But a close second, is I got some sequins of various sizes and used them on my album. they look great seen through all the other pages.

PS you are the first person I've ever responded to on a blog - I've decided it time to stop lurking!!

Love the new Clear n Chip line! How fun would that be to combine, mix & match them? I like to use paint and rub-ons on acrylic pieces and albums.

That is an awesome giveaway Cathy.....I LOVE working with acrylic, and because I tend to use paint on every acrylic project, im guessing that must be my fave technique:)
I can't wait for the cityscape album to debut, so I can get my hands on that baby.

I love painting on the backs of embellies/chipboard/etc so that the backs become a place for me to put something on the other side.

Here's a mini album I did for my brother when he moved to NYC.

My favorite technique? Collect! I have sooo many acrylic items just waiting for a little love and I haven't quite figured out how to use them to my satisfaction. I've just bought a handful of alcohol inks and want to try something with them though.

Oh, I have not work on acrylic, but my dream is stamping on and use Adirondack inks.
The Cupcake is beautiful, but the buildings too!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the chance!!!!

I like using rubons on arcrylic and stamps. Can give your projects very neat looks!! Love your mini tabbed book!

For acrylic, I love things that can show through. Ink, stamps, rub ons, embossing. Something that accents, rather than hides, the "clearness" of it.

Oh I love love love the cupcake book you completed!!! I don't do tons with acrylic as it is hard to find here (not many LSS's - closest 90 mils to me - just major chain stores) but what I have done I have thoroughly enjoyed!!! I like rub-ons and paper pieceing on them though!!! My fav acrylic project is a "Baby on Board" album I made for my BFF from high school for notes during her pregnancy!!!

I like to put my acrylics through my cuttlebug embossing folders and also stamp on them and use rubons.
