Summer Holidays: Day 6 (the Zoo)

One of the things we were most excited about when planning a trip to Omaha was the Henry Doorly Zoo.  It's amazing.  It was amazing the last time we were here and it is still amazing.  We spent about 7 hours here today and I won't bore you with all 237 pictures I took but here are a few of my favourites:

The Henry Doorly Zoo, Omaha, Nebraska

Uncle Randy, Aunt Jan, Serafina, Mica & Cale & Egan

My best photo :)  The blue-tongued Skink

The polar bear was doing laps, frontcrawl to the island, and then back floating all the way along the glass where people were watching him - he must have made about 8 trips while we watched.

Lazy, lazy tigers :)

The black bear at feeding time, eating a sugar-free Kool-aid freezie with some meat in it I think...yum.

 The 4 of us :)

The Gorilla, inviting us to "the gun show"

Gorgeous birds from everywhere in the world.

Butterflies and insects.

The penguins waiting for lunch.

Feeding frenzy at the Koi pond.

I have a hundred other pictures but for now....that'll have to do.  I need some sleep :)
